Incoming Second Grade Summer Reading 2008

To help your student maintain the reading skills and strategies they learned in first grade, they should be reading every day. This can be a book they read on their own or one you read to them. A minimum of twenty minutes a day is appropriate for children of this age.

Please choose three books to complete your three summer reading projects which are attached.

Project 1.“Character Map”

Choose a biography by author David A. Adler

Project 2.“New Ending” Project 3.“Story Map”

Choose two books by the following authors to complete projects two and three:
