praise Thy wonders, O Lord, Thy faithfulness in the assembly of the holy
ones! ~Psalms 89: 4-5~ C-Project:
“Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for the least of My brothers,
you did for Me.” Matthew 25:40
Registration
Curriculum Fee of $418 is due by March 3,
2008.
Parish
Mission: OLSS will host a Parish Mission
beginning Sunday, February 17, through Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at 7:00 pm
in the church. A special Children’s
Liturgy will also be offered each evening for grades PreK-4 through 5th
grade. Free babysitting will be provided
for children 4-years old and younger. The
school will be celebrating Mass on Tuesday, February 19th at
8:30 am instead of Friday, February 22nd. So mark your calendars now and plan to bring
the entire family! What a lovely way to
start our New Year by renewing our faith.
More details will be announced soon.
Parents:
Ø We encourage all parents to join us at Mass tomorrow as we end our
Catholic Schools Week with our children’s mass.
Ø Reminder: The handbook states on page 22
that jewelry is limited to one religious necklace, earrings for girls are
limited to studs/posts or ½” or smaller hoops only! No bracelets.
One watch, no alarm or buzzer.
Also, for all students, FOOTIES are not allowed and
makeup is not permitted except for clear lip gloss.
Ø Any and all correspondence sent via the class envelopes/backpacks must be
school related and approved by Mrs. Earp.
Any letters or packages that contain personal information needs to be
handled outside of school.
Ø If your middle school student needs to contact you, they will be given a
message from the front office that will be posted on the middle school message
board. It is then their responsibility
to check the board and come to the front office to make their phone call. Students are no longer allowed
to use the phones in the classrooms or lunchrooms.
Ø Please make note that the school’s phone number is 543-8515,
not 285-8515. We have a
neighbor with a phone number very close to ours and they receive phone calls
for the school on a regular basis.
Please be aware of this so that we are careful not to disturb our
neighbors. Thank you.
Ø Just a reminder: please respect the rights and property of
each and every one of our surrounding communities. We are receiving complaints from our
neighbors that our parents are turning around in their subdivisions. During peak hours of drop-0ff and pick up
times, do not make u-turns in the surrounding neighborhoods. Thank you.
Book
of the Month: The book of the month
for February is Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch by Eileen Spinelli. The theme of this book is love and
kindness. This book gives us a clear
idea of what kindness can do for a person and how it can change his/her
life. It is the perfect book to follow
last month’s theme. What a great lesson
to our students that if we all try and reach out to everybody (even those that
we are not sure about!) we may just help someone realize their worth!
8TH Grade Parents: The Confirmation Retreat will be
on Saturday, March 15th.
The date in the packets given out at the meeting on January 10th
was incorrect. Please note on your
calendar. Also, your child’s baby photos
for the yearbook are available in the front office for pick up.
