Registration

 

Curriculum Fee of $418 per student was due by March 3, 2008.  (A late fee will be assessed if payment was not received by March 13, 2008)  If you have not submitted payment we will assume that you child/children are not returning for the upcoming school year and the spots will be filled.  If other financial arrangements are needed, please contact the front office to schedule an appointment with Mrs. Earp, Principal.

 

Technology Fee of $115 per student is due April 2, 2008.

Payment Policy:  Tuition is paid in 10 monthly installments.  The first tuition payment for the 2008-2009 school year is due by May 1, 2008, and is non-refundable.

Holy Week Mass Schedule

We encourage all of our Palmer families to join us at the Masses during Holy Week.  It is a beautiful time of year for us to come together in prayer as a family.

 

Holy Thursday:  March 20th; Morning Prayer at 8:30 am.  The Mass of the Lord’s Supper begins at 7:00 pm followed by Adoration until 10:00 pm.

Good Friday:  March 21st; Morning Prayer at 8:30 am.  The Lord’s Passion begins at 3:00 pm and the Stations of the Cross at 7:00 pm.

Holy Saturday:  March 22nd; Morning Prayer at 8:30 am.  The Easter Vigil begins at 8:30 pm.

Easter Sunday:  March 23rd;  Mass times are 7:00 am, 9:00 am, 11:00 am and 5:30 pm.

 

C-Project:  Beatitude:  “Blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.”   When those individuals who stay true to their beliefs, are disrespected and treated poorly; God will reward them with a place in Heaven.  (We Believe, 35)

 

Book of the Month:  The book of the month for March is The Quiltmaker’s Gift by Jeff Brumbeau.  The theme of this book is to give to those in need; you will be richer for it.  It isn’t about money and wealth, it is also so important to give of yourself and your gifts.  Spread the wealth – be kind to someone today!

 

Screenings:  The St. Vincent Mobile Health Unit will be at Palmer on Wednesday, April 2nd to administer screenings for Kindergarten, 1st and 3rd grade students only.  A permission form was mailed home on Thursday, March 6th.  Please complete this form and return to school no later than Tuesday, April 1st. 

Dr. Richard Packo will be at Palmer on Tuesday, April 8th to administer Scoliosis screening for 6th grade students only.  Permission slips for this screening were also mailed on Thursday, March 6th.  Please complete this form and return to school no later than Monday, April 7th. 

 

 

Palmer Sports Banquet:  The Palmer Catholic Academy Sports Banquet will be on Thursday, April 10, 2008.  Please send checks in, payable to PCA, by April 1, 2008.

 

Outreach News:   

Ø  Please continue to collect “Pennies for Patients”.  Collection bins for change are in each classroom and the front office.  This collection benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Sponsored by Outreach Club.

 

Don’t Forget to Purchase Your Yearbooks!  The 2007-2008 Palmer Yearbooks have been ordered.  If you did not pre-order your yearbooks, there are still some available for $40.00.  Please send your order forms in with your payment to the office.  More order envelopes are available in the office.  Yearbooks will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.  8th Graders will be given priority.

 

Need more service hours???  There are lunch and recess duties available in May.  To avoid a charge for not meeting your service hours, please call the office to schedule your choice of days.  You will receive 2 hours for Lunch Duty and 2 hours for Recess Duty.

 

HSA:

Ø  Golf Tournament:  Last chance to sign up to play in the Palmer Classic on March 31st!  Email Angela Gimbel (gimbela@aol.com) for golf and Joie Marsh(joienmarsh@bellsouth.net) for tennis.  Credit cards accepted. 

Ø  2008/2009 HSA Board:  All nominations must be received no later than March 31st.  Please mail to Palmer Catholic Academy over the break. 

Ø  Italian Dinner Night:  This year’s Italian Dinner night will be held April 15th in the Cultural Center.  It is guaranteed to be a fun family night!  If you haven’t received an order form, contact Raquel Cawood at 825-1727.  We need strong dads to help Larry Michael set up that morning.

 

Christ Renews His Parish:  CALLING ALL WOMEN AND MEN OF OUR PARISH.  Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) is an effective personal spiritual renewal process and an experience of true Christian community in the environment of our parish.  OLSS will be offering the next CRHP weekend for women on May 17th-18th and for men on May 31st-June 1st.  If you would like more information or would like to register for the next weekend, call Annelie Welch at 285-6815 or Denny Darienzo at 285-2632.

 

Bishop Kenny News:   Bishop Kenny High School wishes all of the Palmer Blue Angels and their families a very safe and happy Easter.
