Thursday Update
Unified in
Faith, Respect and Service
Through Him you
have confidence in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so
that your faith and hope are in God. ~1 Peter 1: 21~ Great Bible Reef: Believe in God. Bible Story: A Blind Man Believes (John 9:1-12) “I believe that You
are the Christ, the Son of God” (John 11:27)
Registration
Technology Fee of $115 per student was
due April 2, 2008.
Payment Policy: Tuition is paid in 10 monthly installments. The first tuition payment for the 2008-2009
school year is due by May 1, 2008, and is
non-refundable.
Parents: We have received notice from Bartlett, Deal &
Briley, P.A., attorneys for the Payasada
Estates, regarding our parents that continue to use their entrance as a
turn-around during our drop off and dismissal times. This neighborhood is private property and
the Sheriff’s Department will issue traffic citations to those parents that use
their entrance to turn around. We ask
you again to please respect the rights and property of our surrounding
communities.
C-Project: Beatitude: “Blessed are those
who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
“Happy are those who know that everything that lives comes from God and
is a blessing.” (Beatitudes for Kids, 8)
Book
of the Month: The book of the month
for April is Just a Dream by Chris Van Allsburg. The theme of this book is taking care of what
God gave us to ensure a bright future for our children. This is so important to stress in a society
that would tear down a tree to put up a building or pave a road. If we can instill in our students the responsibility
that each of us has to maintain this beautiful world, and to take part in its
care, then perhaps we have found another road to peace and less of the path to
destruction.
Pope Benedict’s Visit: Pope Benedict will make his
Apostolic Journey to the United States, April 15th – 20th. The website of the U.S. Conference of
Catholic Bishops contains numerous articles and resources on the Papal
Visit. These can be accessed at www.uspapalvisit.org. Please be sure to note the left
hand column which contains a link to Teaching Resources developed by the
Archdiocese of Washington. These contain
guides for teachers, catechists and youth ministers which
focus on different age levels and are printed both in English and Spanish. If you wish to go directly to these guides,
you may do so at www.adw.org/papalvisit/indexparish_lesson.asp.
Palmer Sports Banquet: The Palmer Catholic Academy
Sports Banquet will be tonight, Thursday, April 10, 2008, in the OLSS Cultural
Center from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

Forget to Purchase Your Yearbooks! The 2007-2008 Palmer Yearbooks have been

yearbooks, there are still some available for $40.00. Please send your order forms in with your

cooler that was used at the Golf Outing was found. If you own this cooler, please pick it up at
the PCA office.
The Lost Boys: The Lost Boys would
like to thank all of the Palmer families for their generous donations. They are grateful for the giving nature of
our Catholic community. The Boys have
