and has not let our feet slip.

~Psalms 66: 8-9~

C-Project:  Beatitude:  “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”  “Happy are those who know that everything that lives comes from God and is a blessing.”  (Beatitudes for Kids, 8)

Book of the Month:  The book of the month for April is Just a Dream by Chris Van Allsburg.  The theme of this book is taking care of what God gave us to ensure a bright future for our children.  This is so important to stress in a society that would tear down a tree to put up a building or pave a road.  If we can instill in our students the responsibility that each of us has to maintain this beautiful world, and to take part in its care, then perhaps we have found another road to peace and less of the path to destruction.

Pope Benedict’s Visit:  On April 15th, Pope Benedict began his six-day trip to the United States.  What does he hope to accomplish?  He wishes to renew the Catholic Church in America, and, at the UN, to offer hope for peace to the nations of the world.  His mission is to proclaim the truth in the presence of the whole world, and in so doing, to give hope.

Dress Down Day – April 22nd:  PCA will celebrate Earth Day with a dress down day on Tuesday, April 22nd.  For $1, students can wear yellow, and dress down according to the Student Handbook guidelines.  All money raised will support our paperboard recycling program at Palmer.  Be Mellow….Wear Yellow for Earth Day!

Congratulations!  We are very proud of our Primary students.  During the Lenten season, these students performed daily chores to earn money.  This money was collected and will be donated to Heifer International to help needy families.  Each class voted for the animals they would like to purchase.  With over $950 collected, we were able to buy flocks of ducks, chickens, goats and even honeybees.  Way to go, Primary students!

Don’t Forget to Purchase Your Yearbooks!  The 2007-2008 Palmer Yearbooks have been ordered.  If you did not pre-order your yearbooks, there are still some available for $40.00.  Please send your order forms in with your payment to the office.  More order envelopes are available in the office.  Yearbooks will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Eighth graders will be given priority.
