Thursday Update
Unified in
Faith, Respect and Service
Put on then, as
God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness,
meekness, and patience, forbearing one another and, if one has a complaint
against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you
also must forgive. ~Colossians 3:12-13~ C-Project:
Beatitude: “Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they will be called the
children of God”.
Great
Bible Reef:
Theme: Care
for others. “Care about others as much
as you care about yourselves”. (Philippines 2:4) Bible Story: Baby in the basket (Exodus
2:1-10)
Book
of the Month: The book of the month
for September is The Flag We Love
by Pam Munoz Ryan. The theme of this
book is patriotism and symbolism.
REMINDER: The third installment of your
monthly tuition payment was due on September 1, 2007.
Confirmation: The bishop has approved the
Confirmation date for our 8th grade students as Wednesday, April 16th
at 7:00 pm.
Drop off and Dismissal: We ask all drivers to follow our
guidelines that will help maintain the safe and smooth arrival and dismissal of
every student. Here are a few reminders.
Carpool: Parents, we are going
to try something new!! Our goal is to
make your carpool experience as quick and safe as possible. Starting Monday we are asking all visitors
and parents who have to wait to pick up a student to park in the far left
parking lot (the lot directly to your left after you turn into our parking
lot). Please do not park along the back
side of the pond. That will now be
reserved for staff only. We are trying
to avoid having parents circle while waiting for your child.
Parents: If you have a middle
school student that you need to pick up before their regular dismissal time of
3:00, you must come into the front office and sign your child out. Students will not be dismissed early without
a parent signature.
Challenge
Girls Club: The Challenge Girls Club will meet tonight,
Thursday, September 13th in the Browning Center from 6:30 pm to 8:00
pm.
Lunches: Parents, please do not
pack a red, blue or any dark colored drink with your child’s lunches. These drinks, if spilled, stain our carpets
and are very hard to remove.
Eucharistic
Ministers: Parents and teachers, if you are
a Eucharistic minister and would like to serve at the children’s masses please
contact Annie Solaun to be put on the schedule.
Annie’s e-mail is Solaunji@comcast.net and her cell number is 318-7213.

Palmer
is going green: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
and Respect is our motto for this year.
We will be moving to an electronic delivery of our general family
mailings. Please make sure the front
office has your e-mail address so we can add you to our mailing list.
Going
Green: Recycle: recycling creates new products: aluminum
cans, newspapers, cereal boxes, paper towels, egg cartons, carpeting, motor
oil, car bumpers, nails, trash bags, glass containers, comic books and laundry
detergent bottles.
For example, polystyrene (foam) trays can be
recycled into beanbag filler, styrofoam packing peanuts, coat hangers, rulers,
flower pots and more. Publix plastic
grocery bags and wrap are recycled into plastic lumber and decking.
Who knows what great new purpose your humble
recycling may take on its next life!
