Letters have
been sent from the parish office regarding your financial parish contributions
for 2007. Please be aware that families
are required to meet supporting parishioner criteria by December 31, 2007,
(refer to registration flyer) in order to qualify for the supporting parish
family tuition rate for the 2008-2009 school year.
Registration: Registration for returning students is
complete. If you have not turned in your
registration information, we will assume that you are not returning for the 2008-2009
school year and therefore your child’s spot will be open to the public in
January. Registration information will
be available to the general public on January 3, 2008. If you have any concerns, please contact Mrs.
Earp at 543-8515.
Great
Bible Reef: Show love for others
by truly helping them. ~John 3:18~
Book
of the Month: The book of the month
for December is The Crippled Lamb by Max Lucado. The theme of this book is that God has a plan
for us all. It may not be obvious at
first, but if we have faith, it will be revealed to us. Look for your gift – it’s there!
Parents:
Ø If your child is absent, the parent/guardian should call the school with
the reason for the absence before 8:20 am.
If the teacher reports a child absent, and the office has not received a
call notifying the school of the absence, the office staff will call the
parent/guardians to verify the absence.
Ø If you are planning a trip or if your child(ren) will be out of school
for one or more days, a pre-planned absence form must be completed and signed
by your child’s teachers and Mrs. Earp. If
the request is denied, and the student is absent during that time period, the
absence will be considered unexcused and the student will receive a grade zero
on all work missed. (see parent/student
handbook page 9)
Ø Any student being picked up before their release time must
be signed out in the front office. Reminder:
Middle School students are not released until 3:00.
Calendars: Don’t throw away your
2007 calendars! Recycle! The Art room
will be happy to add old calendar pictures to our classroom “Idea Bank”. Please send in your old calendars for use in
our many art projects. Thank you!
Jesse Tree: To celebrate and
expand our understanding of the scriptures of the Bible, Palmer Catholic
Academy students made ornaments and read scriptures of the Bible. Each class was assigned a different ornament
and studied the scripture that pertains to their ornament. You can view these ornaments on the Our Lady
Star of the Sea Christmas tree at Christmas.
